Modular construction store and tool rental

Family-owned company Kurt König specializes in rental and maintenance of construction machinery and equipment. As part of their digitization and rebranding campaign, we developed a holistic new look for the architecture and interior of the construction stores, as well as the warehouses.

Ordinary building materials and clean shapes - we developed a holistic new look for the architecture and interior of the construction stores and warehouses. From hammers to bulldozers, every kind of tool or construction machine can be rented at the construction store. Step by step, all eleven German locations are now being redesigned under our creative direction. First up was the construction of the new Göttingen location, which opened in spring 2022.

Stripped down to the essential

Our modern interpretation of the classic hardware store translates the new brand language into the space. Monochrome surfaces, clean shapes and displays made of common building materials set the stage for the presentation of products.

The architectural design and aesthetics are based on a modular system for window and door openings or loading areas. The various modules are based on the basic grid of the typical overseas container and vary in their transparency, creating constantly new compositions depending on the viewing angle.
